High Contrast

I think I was able to get high contrast in both pictures. Both pictures have whites and blacks mainly. It was mainly my subject matter since my barn is black, white, and a lighter cream color, but i also used the enlarger settings to intensify the blacks and whites. Yes I like how my pictures turned out, besides the white corner in the top of the first one, but besides that I was very satisfied with my project.

Dodge and Burn

I thought dodging and burning was hard to grasp at first, but after the first two photos it became a lot easier to do. I did enjoy it but I don't think I will use it again because I would be too scared to mess up my photograph, just because i have only done it once. To improve this picture I made the driveway lighter, and tried to make the trees a little darker, so i dodged the driveway and burned the back of the trees. Each one was for about 5 seconds.

Solarization

This is a photo of the bell that is outside of my house. To get these results, I exposed the picture originally for 8 seconds under the enlarger, and then put it in the developer right until the picture began to show up. Then I re-exposed the picture to white light for two seconds and then put it back into the developer and finished developing the picture normally. By doing this I got a small glow around my picture and the border was black. I would use this in a final print if the project was abstract.
